Aluminium and zintec materials require a suitable pre-treatment primer to ensure good adhesion of subsequent paint sytsems.
Suitable pre-treatment products are:
- 2-pack Etch primer: a two pack (base and catalyst which are miixed together) pre-treatment wash primer (dft 10 microns) which etches into the surface and forms the base for the paint system.
- 1-pack Etch primer: a single pack pre-treatment wash primer (dft 10-15 microns) which etches into the surface and forms the base for the paint system.
After application of the pre-treatment primer the choice of undercoats and finishing coats will depend on the end and location use of the article.
