Some plastics have plasticisers added during the process, whch can leech out over time and interfere with coating adhesion to the substrate.
Some plastics are used in safety equipment, such as safety helmets and motor cycle crash helmets. Some of the solvents in the coatings may effect the strength of the plastic and customising helmets is not recommended for the DIY enthusiast.
We have a range of coatings for various types of plastics, however we do suggest a test piece is coated to ensure compatability.
